After over a decade of being away from Kelowna, Mahta is back in the city — sharing her knowledge and dance experience as a former NBA Toronto Raptors dancer. Mahta danced on the team for four consecutive seasons - performing in front of 20,000 fans. She has performed at every home game, playoffs and at the 2016 NBA All Star weekend held in Toronto. She's travelled and danced in the Philippines, Brazil and different parts of Canada. Having been a part of a team that consisted of hard work, challenging rehearsals, and dedication, Mahta is grateful for the very rewarding experience.
In Toronto, she has also participated in different dance functions, commercials, private/corporate events, dance fitness DVD and concept videos. Other credits include: Naughty by Nature, Young MC, Rob Base, the Sugarhill Gang, Skee-Lo, Montell Jordan & Karl Wolf.
Mahta has acquired a ton of knowledge in different styles of dance and performance, which she hopes to pass along to dancers in Kelowna, looking to take their dancing to the next level. Mahta's vision is to bring a fresh vibe and professional look to the Kelowna dance scene.
Mahta started Dipp Dance in Spring 2017. With all the interest in the classes/workshops, she decided to take it to the next level and start a performance group program. So far, Dipp Dance has had two seasons (Fall 2017 & Spring 2018) of programs, and has had 6 sold out shows! Season 3 performance team auditions will take place Winter 2019, followed by a one night event in Spring 2019.

Later, Michelle moved to Mexico to dance professionally at a five star resort and it’s sister hotels in their nightly show — this expanded her repertoire to include salsa, merengue, samba and culipso. Back in Calgary, Michelle continued to dance professionally with a group called illFX where they would showcase jazz funk and hip hop numbers.
